Articulation

Articulation Agreements
An articulated course is one in which the high school course, usually ROP or Adult Ed, has been determined to be comparable to a specific community college course. There are many benefits in setting up articulated courses. A primary benefit is that expectations have been established by the college so they can be met by the high school course. The students are better prepared when they enter the college program. Some of the programs can even offer certificates upon completion so that the students can enter more advanced classes when they start college. My high school used to have and ROP program & Adult Education classes supported by the county, but they ended about 10 years ago. I am going to inquire why the county would end such a program when it has so many benefits for students.
